Job Description

Lead the development and execution of consumer marketing strategies that drive disease awareness, patient engagement, treatment consideration, and brand adoption across the Multiple Myeloma patient journey. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate patient and caregiver insights into impactful, customer-centric initiatives. Develop and execute consumer-focused brand strategies, including patient segmentation, value propositions, messaging, creative campaigns, digital engagement, and omnichannel marketing programs. Ensure strategies are data-driven, measurable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives while improving the patient experience and supporting brand growth.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Marketing Director and brand leadership to develop and execute comprehensive consumer marketing strategies that support Multiple Myeloma business objectives, including patient engagement, brand growth, and financial performance.
  • Lead consumer marketing planning processes, leveraging patient, caregiver, and healthcare market insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize campaign performance.
  • Develop patient-centric segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to key audiences across the Multiple Myeloma treatment journey.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of integrated consumer campaigns across digital, social, paid media, CRM, advocacy, and patient support channels.
  • Drive the development of impactful consumer creative and educational content that resonates with patients and caregivers while maintaining regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Partner with market research, analytics, and customer insights teams to identify unmet patient needs, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and inform ongoing optimization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with medical, regulatory, legal, market access, patient services, sales, and agency partners to ensure seamless execution of consumer initiatives.
  • Lead the development of innovative patient experiences, resources, and support programs designed to improve awareness, engagement, and treatment adherence.
  • Manage agency partners, budgets, timelines, and project execution to ensure delivery of high-quality consumer marketing programs.
  • Mentor and develop direct report(s), fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and customer-centric thinking.
  • Drive growth in consumer awareness, patient acquisition, engagement, and brand preference through measurable marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare marketing experience, including significant experience in consumer/patient marketing.
  • Hematology experience required; Multiple Myeloma experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record developing and executing consumer marketing strategies, patient engagement programs, and omnichannel campaigns.
  • Product launch experience required, including consumer launch planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in patient journey mapping, market research, segmentation, consumer insights, and message development.
  • Experience leading agency partnerships and managing integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory considerations, and promotional review processes.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
