Positional Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Patient Services Representative to support daily operations within a busy ophthalmology practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional patient experience from check-in through check-out.
Role & Responsibility:

  • Greet and check in patients for scheduled appointments in a professional and courteous manner
  • Verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays, and process payments accurately
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient visits based on provider availability
  • Process referrals and ensure all required documentation is completed
  • Check out patients and provide visit summaries or next steps as needed
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient data in the system
  • Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to coordinate schedules and patient flow
  • Assist healthcare providers with administrative support as needed
  • Manage appointment scheduling by balancing daily capacity, staffing needs, and patient demand
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with healthcare procedures
