Job Description:

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Health Aide/Safety Monitor in the Admissions Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

Salary Range - $36,608.00 - $44,116.80 per year based on experience

Shift Open:

7:00 a.m- 3:30 p.m / 3:00 p.m- 11:30 p.m / 11:00 p.m - 7:30 a.m.

Job Description:

Position is responsible for ensuring that all patients entering the Admissions Area are free of contraband prior to them being placed in the Admissions Unit. Staff also are responsible got monitoring patient activity and preventing patients' negative interactions with one another. To provide for a safe environment and the protection of themselves and others from harm.

One year experience in mental health or medical or related field - One year of experience performing direct care activity/basic nursing procedures, and training/security for persons with physical, mental health, and/or substance abuse disabilities. Experience working with forensic patients or correctional offenders. Proficient Computer Skills Valid driver's license

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED and six (6) months of experience in a related field; one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Health Aide 1 (HCS020) or position equivalent.
