Whatย youโ€™llย do:ย ย 

The Physician & Communityย Relations Managerย serves as a key representative of Spire Orthopedic Partners and the assigned practice(s), strengthening relationships with referring providers, community organizations, athletic programs, and strategic partners throughout the organization's geographic footprint. This roleย is responsible forย expanding referral networks, coordinating community outreach initiatives, supporting sponsorships,ย andย identifyingย opportunities to increase brand awareness, strengthen physician relationships, and drive patient growth.ย 

As a member of Spire Orthopedic Partners' Marketing & Communications team, the Physician & Communityย Relations Managerย partners closely with Operationsย andย Practice Leadership, Physician Leadership, and the broader Marketing & Communications team to execute community outreach, referral development, sponsorship, and engagement initiatives that support the organization's strategic growth objectives. This role also works collaboratively with the marketing team toย identifyย and capture stories, photos, and video content thatย showcaseย physicians, patients, community partnerships, and events while strengthening the organization's presence throughout the communities it serves.ย 

Key metricsย and drivers of potential bonus opportunitiesย include, butย notย limited to:ย ย ย 

  • Referral volume growth (Which referral sources are growing or declining?)ย 

  • Retention of referring providers (Where is referral leaking occurring?)ย 

  • New referral sources (What specific actions drive new referral sources?)ย 

  • Recovery of lost referral sourcesย 

  • Referral conversion rate (How much revenue is generated from each referral relationship?)ย 

  • Referral driving activities (Office visits, lunch andย learns, community events)ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

Physician Relationships & Referral Developmentย 

  • Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with referring physicians, primary care providers, urgent care centers, and other referral sources throughout an assigned geographic territory.ย 

  • Conduct regular physician office visits, lunch-and-learn presentations, and educational outreach activities.ย 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referring provider offices, communicating provider availability, new services, scheduling updates, and practice resources.ย 

  • Distribute referral guides, physician directories, marketing collateral, and educational materials.ย 

  • Monitor referral trends and identify opportunities to strengthen existing referral relationships and establish new referral sources.ย 

  • Track referral activity and provide regular reporting on outreach efforts and referral growth.ย 

Community Outreach, Sponsorships & Eventsย 

  • Manage organizational sponsorships, community partnerships, and outreach initiatives that increase awareness of [Insert Practice Name].ย 

  • Coordinate participation in health fairs, community events, races, educational seminars, employer wellness events, and other outreach opportunities.ย 

  • Identifyย new sponsorship, partnership, and community engagement opportunities that align with organizational growthย objectives.ย 

  • Coordinate eventย logistics, branded materials, giveaways, signage, and on-site representation.ย 

  • Representย the practiceย professionally at community events and networking opportunities.ย 

Marketing & Content Supportย 

  • Partner with the Marketing & Communications team toย identifyย and capture compelling stories thatย showcaseย physicians, patients, community partnerships, and organizational initiatives.ย 

  • Capture photos, short-form video, interviews, and other digital content during practice visits, community events, sponsorship activations, and athletic partnerships for use across social media,ย website, digital marketing, and other communications.ย 

  • Coordinate with the Director of Content Strategy and Social Media Manager toย identifyย upcoming opportunities for content creation and promotional campaigns.ย 

  • Assistย in gathering physician testimonials, patient success stories, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes content that supports marketing initiatives.ย 

Collaboration & Reportingย 

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing & Communications, Operations, Practice Leadership, and Physician Leadership to support strategic growth initiatives.ย 

  • Track and report community engagement activities, referral development efforts, sponsorship performance, and partnership outcomes.ย 

  • Maintainย accurateย records of outreach activities, referral meetings, community contacts, and follow-up actions.ย 

  • Representย the practiceย with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service in all interactions.ย 

Who you are:ย 

Educationย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.ย 

  • Equivalentย combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.ย 

Experienceย 

  • 5-8ย years of experienceย inย physician relations, healthcare marketing, provider outreach, business development, community engagement, orย a relatedย healthcare relationship management role.ย 

  • Experience developing relationships with physicians, healthcare providers,ย orย community organizationsย preferred.ย 

  • Healthcare sales preferred, withย provenย track recordย in physician relationship building and management.ย ย 

  • Experience coordinating events, sponsorships, or community engagement initiatives.ย 

  • Experience within healthcare, orthopedic, or multi-site physician practice environments is preferred.ย 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilitiesย 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.ย 

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.ย 

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.ย 

  • Comfortable presenting to physicians, healthcare professionals, and community organizations.ย 

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.ย 

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.ย 

  • Proficiencyย with Microsoft Office, Power BI,ย Marketwareย orย additionalย relationship management tools preferred.ย 

  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned service area and attend evening and weekend events.ย
