Job description

Summary: Provide essential patient care in a medical telemetry inpatient and observation setting. Assist with patient admissions, orientation, and daily care routines while ensuring a safe and clean environment. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support patient admissions including orientation to unit protocols and equipment.
  • Respond to patient needs directly or by communicating with appropriate healthcare team members.
  • Carry out delegated nursing care tasks to support the nursing plan of care.
  • Maintain patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Manage and restock supplies in medication and supply rooms for patient care use.
  • Ensure a clean, well-stocked patient environment and participate in cost containment efforts.
  • Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
  • Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction, patient flow, and hospital capacity compliance.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Nursing Assistant certification mandatory. Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry is required.
