Full-Time, No Weekends, 10-Hour Shifts (Monday through Thursday)
Job Summary:
The OR Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within the operating room during designated shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC oversees, evaluates, and directs nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures. Serving as a resource for staff, the CNC embodies the organization's vision, mission, and values, aiming to enhance patient experiences and drive superior clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate efficient admission and discharge processes to uphold high standards of patient care.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient care quality alongside management peers.
- Foster a culture of teamwork through collaboration with subject matter experts and other managers.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy, engaging in service recovery initiatives when necessary.
- Implement nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and satisfaction.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff.
- Assist in staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage aligned with patient care needs.
- Manage inventory control and oversee supplies and equipment within the operating room.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with at least an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience required.
- Previous charge nursing experience in the operating room is necessary.
