Pathway information

What is a pathway?

Pathway jobs typically refer to positions within the Pathways Programs, which are U.S. federal government initiatives designed to provide students and recent graduates with opportunities to explore federal careers. These programs include internships, the Recent Graduates Program, and the Presidential Management Fellows Program. Pathway jobs offer structured training, mentorship, and the potential for conversion to permanent federal positions, making them an excellent entry point into government service.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in pathway program roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in pathway program roles often work to support students transitioning between educational stages, such as high school to college or workforce entry. Common challenges include managing diverse learner needs, coordinating resources across multiple departments, and ensuring clear communication among stakeholders. Addressing these challenges typically involves strong organizational skills, proactive collaboration with faculty and advisors, and continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in student support. Building strong relationships with students and maintaining flexibility can also help pathway professionals navigate these complexities effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a pathway coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Pathway Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, knowledge of educational or career development frameworks, and relevant qualifications such as a degree in education, counseling, or a related field. Familiarity with student information systems, career assessment tools, and data management software is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills help you effectively guide and support individuals through their chosen pathways. These skills ensure personalized guidance, smooth program operations, and positive outcomes for participants.

Plumbing Apprentice -- Paid Training, Clear Path to Your Own Truck

615 PLUMBING

Nashville, TN • On-site

$18 - $24/hr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO

Re-posted 5 days ago

Job description

No experience? Good.

If you're dependable, good with people, and actually want to learn a trade that pays for life — keep reading. 615 Plumbing will put you in the field, pay you while you learn, and hand you a clear path from day-one helper to running your own truck.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
HERE'S THE DEAL
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You start at $18/hour. As you hit real skill milestones, you earn raises — climbing to $24/hour and then your own truck within a year, on our full technician pay plan. Raises are earned by proving you can do the work, not by clocking time. We'll show you exactly how it works when we meet.

This is a career path, not a paycheck-to-paycheck job.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
️ WHAT YOU'LL DO
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Ride along and learn from experienced techs on real service calls
• Start with the basics — faucets, toilets, drains — and grow into water heaters, repairs, and diagnostics
• Keep the truck stocked and jobsites clean
• Take great care of customers in their homes
• Move up through hands-on skill checkpoints with a mentor in your corner

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Show-up-ready work ethic and dependability
• Good attitude and people skills (you're in customers' homes daily)
• Hungry to learn and coachable
• Valid driver's license + clean-enough record for a company vehicle
• Able to lift gear and stay on your feet
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• NO plumbing experience required — we train you

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT YOU GET
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• $18–$24/hr with a clear path to raises
• Health insurance — $150/month employer contribution
• 2 weeks paid time off
• 401(k) with company match
• $150 annual boot allowance
• Tool purchase loans to build your kit
• A mentor and a real shot at running your own truck in 12 months

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHY 615 PLUMBING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Locally owned, growing, and built different. Most shops hand you a wrench and hope you figure it out. We built an actual training ladder because we want you to win .

Ready to learn a trade you can't be laid off from?

Company Description

We're a residential shop in the Nashville area built on doing things the right way — good training, fair pay, and a real plan for you to grow. No nights, no weekends, no getting called out on your day off. We take care of our people because we want them here for the long haul. If you're a strong tech who feels underpaid, overworked, or under-appreciated where you're at, come see what a shop that's run right feels like.

Apply today. If it looks like a fit, we'll reach out fast — and the first conversation is all about your goals and how we help you hit them.
