American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience for a Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures unit.
Details- Invasive Lab setting supporting invasive cardiology and invasive radiology procedures
- Patient population requires invasive cardiology or invasive radiology studies
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- On-call rotation required, including weekend and holiday call coverage
- Required to float to all procedural areas as needed
- 20-week contract length
- Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience required
- Neuro Interventional and EP experience preferred
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
- IEMA Radiography License required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Administer contrast material via existing IV line or venipuncture, recognizing and responding to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions
- Anticipate setup and needs for invasive procedures and assist with inventory and supplies
- Verify patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position
- Compile pertinent clinical information from lab, pathology, and other sources
- Administer medication within scope of practice and document accurately
- Explain procedures to patients and provide comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures and maintain a sterile field
- Function as scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis
- Demonstrate competence in operating and troubleshooting imaging and physiological monitoring equipment
