Job description

About this Job Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist Technician ( PRN) to join our team. We are a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department.

At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians. This Technician (PRN) position performs Phlebotomist duties at Lallie Kemp Medical Center. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience or training in nursing, phlebotomy, or as a medical lab assistant, medical lab technician, or in medical research that included drawing blood from patients; OR Certification or eligibility for certification as a Phlebotomist by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners; OR Six semester hours earned from an accredited college or university in a biological science or chemical science field, or nursing.

Position-Specific Details: About this job: This is a PRN position, there is no set length of employment, ineligible for benefit package, state retirement, holiday pay and leave earnings, compensation for number of hours worked only. Work Location: This Technician position is located in the Pathology Department . Work Hours: Applicant is subject to work evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
