Jackson and Coker is seeking an AP/CP Pathologist for a locum tenens opportunity in northern West Virginia, with IMLC accepted. This role involves providing weekday coverage from August to the end of November 2026, with a minimum commitment of 5 weeks. The position offers a fast credentialing process, competitive pay, and seamless onboarding for qualified candidates.

Practice Info

  • Will work alongside a minimum of 2 other Pathologists each day (up to 3 some days).
  • Will have histo-techs available on site each day.
  • Anticipate 30-40 reads per day.
  • Frozen sections are about 3-4/day, usually skin.
  • 175+ bed facility.
  • Epic EMR inpatient, Clinisys SQ Lab equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Help with grossing as needed (for cases not performed by histotech) (preferred, not required).

Requirements

  • Active + unrestricted West Virginia medical license and/or an active LOQ with the IMLC required.
  • WV License required for August 10-14 and August 17-21.
  • Board Certification required and/or truly Board Eligible.
  • AP/CP Pathology / Surgical Pathology.
  • Seeking candidates that can cover all (or most) weeks, if possible.
