Locum Pathologist Opportunity in Florida

Our organization is seeking a locum tenens pathologist to provide coverage at a facility in Florida. This position is available starting in April and will last for approximately six months.

Schedule and Coverage
  • Work Days: Monday to Friday
  • Weekends: No weekend shifts required
Job Responsibilities
  • Work independently as the sole pathologist
  • Collaborate with a Physician Assistant (PA) who will handle grossing
  • Manage a daily caseload of 15-25, primarily consisting of smaller cases
  • Perform general pathology with some cytology work
  • Occasionally handle complex cases, averaging a few each week
  • Conduct several fine needle aspirations (FNAs) and endoscopies weekly
  • Oversee slide preparation for procedures by the PA
  • Sign out approximately 3,000 cases annually
