Position Summary:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) - Part-Time, Multi-Branch is responsible for providing exceptional service to branch customers and resolving routine customer problems in a timely manner. This position is assigned to support multiple branch locations, specifically Clay, Downtown Syracuse, and Southwest Syracuse, and requires regular travel between these branches based on business needs. The position is a key driver of branch referrals that assist the branch team in achieving their annual goals. The CSR is responsible for interacting with appropriate areas within the Bank to ensure branch-related operational issues are resolved efficiently and accurately. The CSR must stay current on operational changes and demonstrate sound risk management practices to support branch growth while minimizing preventable losses and fraudulent activity.


Essential Functions

  1. Provide consistent CSR coverage across Clay, Downtown Syracuse, and Southwest Syracuse branches based on scheduling and operational needs.
  2. Maintain flexibility to adjust work location between assigned branches to ensure appropriate staffing levels and service continuity.
  3. Deliver exceptional customer experiences, including proactively greeting customers, using their name, and ending each interaction (in person or by phone) with, โ€œThank you for banking with Pathfinder Bank.โ€ Maintain confidentiality of all customer records and documents.
  4. Process a variety of retail and commercial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing in an accurate and efficient manner. Assist with support work.
  5. Promote the Bankโ€™s products and services and refer customers to appropriate sales personnel. Answer customersโ€™ routine banking questions and refer complex inquiries to management.
  6. Verify check endorsements and funds availability and disburse cash to customers in the conduct of transactions and according to policy. Issue receipts to customers for transactions processed to provide a record of activity. Balance daily work, adhering to all procedures stated in the employee difference policy.
  7. Update customer contact information on an ongoing basis to ensure we have the most accurate information in the event the Bank needs to contact the customer.
  8. Understand and adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  9. Demonstrate by proactively assisting other branch colleagues when needed as well as actively participating and contributing during branch team meetings.

Travel

This position requires regular travel between Clay, Downtown Syracuse, and Southwest Syracuse branches during the workday based on operational needs. Reliable transportation is required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with Bank policy.
