Job description

A well-respected mid-sized Atlanta law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a busy intellectual property practice. This position offers a hybrid schedule after training.

This role will focus on U.S. patent prosecution matters and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both substantive and administrative support responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patent dockets and monitor deadlines
  • Prepare shell patent applications and prosecution-related documents
  • Assist with USPTO filings and correspondence
  • Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents
  • Maintain client files and matter records
  • Support attorneys with expense reports, scheduling, and other administrative tasks

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of patent prosecution legal assistant experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. patent prosecution procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
