Patent Attorney Bookoff McAndrews (BoMc) is seeking a full-time registered Patent Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join our firm. This is a remote position. If candidates reside in the DC area, they are welcome to come into our DC office as often (or as little) as they like.

Responsibilities Include: Meeting with inventors and drafting patent applications for filing in the USPTO; prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO, including interviewing Examiners; working collaboratively with clients and other BoMc attorneys to develop and refine claim strategies; Proactively managing a docket of cases the attorney has primary responsibility for, across a blend of clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies; Assisting with other prosecution/counseling matters including: drafting noninfringement and invalidity opinions; and conducting due diligence investigations and performing freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses under the supervision of the firm's partners; and Post-grant proceedings before the USPTO, including Inter Partes Reviews. About You: We are seeking applicants with all technology backgrounds. The following backgrounds are of particular interest: electrical engineering computer/software mechanical engineering chemistry/biochemistry biology physics IPR/litigation experience 2-5 years of patent prosecution experience; Positive attitude toward client service; Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and professional service skills (written and verbal); Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and work in a team environment; Self-starter with commitment to success and personal professional growth; and Enjoy being involved in all aspects of a vibrant law firm team.

Compensation and Benefits: The good-faith base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $205,000, plus competitive benefits. The actual pay will be based on experience and other relevant factors permissible by law. This position is eligible for three different bonus opportunities: Trimester bonuses of up to an additional $15,000 for staying on track to meet your billable requirement.

End-of-year discretionary merit and productivity bonuses contingent upon meeting the billable requirement. *Along with your resume, we also ask that each applicant submit a cover letter.
