Our team specializes in post-operative management, medical stabilization, and ongoing treatment of acute and chronic conditions. 3 North Surgical is committed to delivering high-quality, coordinated care that supports safe healing, patient education, and optimal outcomes for every individual we serve.
Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. - Complete and document patient assessments, care plans, and changes in condition.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care, education, and discharge plans. Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Perform clinical procedures, implement provider orders, and respond to emergencies.
- Utilize critical thinking, SBAR communication, and sound judgment to promote patient safety.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and provide leadership and support to staff.
- Prioritize workload, facilitate patient flow, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Serve as a role model, resource, and mentor while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Participate in orientation, professional development, and shared governance activities.
- Maintain licensure, complete required training, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program and current Kentucky RN license or work permit required.
- No experience required; Bachelor's Degree and patient care experience preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, NIH Stroke Certification, Glucometer Training, Aegis/DY, and Nurse Wound Care certifications required; certifications may be obtained within established post-hire timeframes.
