About the Role
The Part-Time Dock Crew Member is responsible for accurately sorting and preparing products for delivery across designated routes. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, product integrity, and timely distribution in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
What You'll Do
• Sort and organize products based on assigned delivery routes to ensure accurate order fulfillment
• Support timely loading and staging of shipments for distribution
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock and warehouse environment
• Handle products with care to minimize damage and ensure quality standards are met
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth operations
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times
• Assist with offloading trucks and placing products in designated storage areas
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods, as well as lift and move items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, including a refrigerated area maintained at approximately 36°F, as well as indoor and outdoor conditions. The role may also involve working in or around company vehicles and using standard warehouse tools and equipment.
What You'll Bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse, dock, or logistics experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lift and move products up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices
• Forklift certification or willingness to be trained preferred
• Flexibility to work overnight, weekend, and seasonal schedules as needed
