Position Highlights
The University of Arizona's School of Music is accepting applications for Limited Term Adjunct Instructors for undergraduate classes during the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Appointments are assigned for one semester. Anticipated disciplines include: Choral Music Methods, Introduction to Music Theory, First Semester Theory, Music History, Saxophone, Cello, Folk-Rock Ensemble, Hip Hop Production, and Voice/Voice Class.
NOTE: The teaching schedule and hours will be dependent upon class assignment; assignment may be classroom-based, virtual or some combination thereof, depending on need and instructor preference. Hours will vary depending on courses taught but will not exceed 18 hours per week.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Instruct undergraduate students in field of expertise.
- Plan class lectures and assignments.
- Grade assigned papers and exams.
- Hold regular office hours.
- Assign grades to students, based upon performance in class assignments and exams.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- AMaster's degree in related discipline or equivalent professional credentials orcertification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal Degree in related discipline.
- Two or more years of University level teaching experience in related discipline.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
