Position Overview:The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work directly with children on a one-on-one (1:1) basis to support behavioral, social, communication, and developmental goals. Most children receive services for approximately 3-7 hours per day.
The RBT will implement behavior intervention strategies and support the child's success in preschool, daycare, or home environments.
Responsibilities Include:- Provide one-on-one (1:1) support to children
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Support children with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, and learning disabilities
- Collect and document data on client progress
- Collaborate with families, teachers, therapists, and supervisors
- Assist children in achieving individualized goals
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with BACB guidelines
Requirements:โข High School Diploma or GED required
โข Completion of the Initial 40-Hour RBT Training
โข Passed the Initial RBT Competency Assessment
โข Application submitted to the BACB and successful completion of the RBT Examination
โข Active RBT Certification (no pending, inactive, or expired status)
โข Minimum of 2 years of RBT experience
โข Continuous supervision by a BACB-certified supervisor in accordance with BACB guidelines
โข CPR and First Aid Certifications required
โข Experience working with IEPs and/or in a preschool setting
โข Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and developmental needs preferred
