Job description

TITLE: Assistant Teacher
STATUS: Part-Time
REPORTS TO: Children's Center Director
Qualifications:
  • A two-year degree in Early Childhood Minimum of 12 ECE units while actively enrolled in ECE classes toward at least the PUC Professional Achievement Recognition certification, lever 2 or higher.
  • Has knowledge of and understands Title 22 licensing
  • Meets the requirements for a physical exam, testing (Dtap, MMR, TB, CPR) and background
  • Evidence of emotional maturity, stability and physical
  • Evidence of good judgement, problem solving
  • Skillful at providing safe supervision and awareness of student's environment at all
  • Ability to communicate with parents, colleagues and director in an open, friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to recognize and record significant individual and group
  • Ability to create and maintain a clean, orderly and safe learning
  • Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to young

Responsibilities:
General
  • Reports to work on time and follows schedules as assigned
  • Is familiar with local personnel procedural policies (e.g. sick leave, requesting time off, )
