Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Clinical Research Nephrologist
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Schedule: Part-Time (0-8 hours/week)
Start Date: Within 0-6 months


About the Role

We are seeking a board-certified Nephrologist to serve as Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator (Sub-I) for Phase I-IV clinical trials. You will provide medical oversight, ensure protocol compliance, and safeguard patient safety while working with sponsors, CROs, and research teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical screenings, nephrology assessments, and exams.

  • Oversee patient safety, adverse event reporting, and study compliance.

  • Collaborate with coordinators, nurses, and research staff on documentation.

  • Participate in monitoring visits, audits, and investigator meetings.

  • Provide input on study design, feasibility, and recruitment.


Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. with active Arizona medical license.

  • Board certification in Nephrology.

  • DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification.

  • Clinical research experience preferred (training available).

  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
