Job description


Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Administrative Assistant for the Athletic programs. This individual will report to the Athletic Director and perform clerical support services for the Athletic Department. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a part-time (maximum of 29 hours per week), position.
Summary of Duties:
  • Provide secretarial support to the Athletic Director and athletic departmental staff
  • Serve as receptionist by welcoming visitors and answering/directing telephone calls and electronic inquiries
  • Assist with submitting purchasing card reconciliations
  • Assist with eligibility documentation of student athletes
  • Assist the Athletic Director and coaches in communications with other colleges and associations
  • Assist with making arrangements for departmental and team travel
  • Assist athletic trainers with obtaining required supplies, forms, and information from coaches and athletes
  • Coordinate timesheet submissions for all sports within the athletic division
  • Assist with the coordination of special projects, game-day preparations and events; coordinate required facilities, resources, equipment and supplies
  • Supervise student workers assigned to the department

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
  • Active member of the church of Christ
