Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • 1 or more years’ parts counter experience
  • An intermediate understanding of mechanical/parts aspects of vehicles
  • Must pass pre-employment background test, drug screening
  • Required to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
  • Reliable
  • People-oriented - enjoys interacting with people 
  • Detail-oriented - would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture
  • Good communication skills
  • Will be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and responsible

Responsibilities

  • Orders or locates parts while providing both timely service for customers and maximum profit for the Dealership
  • Assists Service Technicians in ordering and pricing parts for their customers, including making keys for vehicles
  • This position reports to the Parts Manager
  • Assists Parts Manager with daily computer input as assigned by the manager
  • Knows and abides by all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, and other policies and procedures determined by management
  • Tracks all parts back orders to expedite time of shipment
  • Maintains a neat and professional appearance
  • Follows dealerships safety rules and Injury and Illness Prevention program
