Job description

Purpose:

Responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and attachments. In addition, performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties.

Responsibilities:

  1. Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs
  2. Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
  3. Communicate and fill customer online parts orders via the customer portal
  4. Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
  5. Helps to keep parts department clean and orderly
  6. Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the Lead
  7. Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles
  8. Helps answer phones and address customer voicemails with urgency
  9. Support customer
  10. Other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills/computer aptitude
  • Basic parts and machinery knowledge
  • Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. daily
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Works in both office and warehouse environments, including consistently viewing a computer monitor and using keyboard/mouse
