Job description

Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America is looking for a skilled Parts Operations Manager to join our team in Itasca, IL.

Summary

Oversee and manage all supply chain activities related to the identification, acquisition and distribution of Genuine Mitsubishi Aftermarket Parts. Responsible for the coordination and optimization of internal and external assets. Negotiates supplier and distributor contracts to establish strong partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, Implement and monitor overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with Sales and Service Teams to identify optimal strategies and close operational gaps
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Work with Finance, Sales, and Manufacturing Teams to determine best vendors and distributors partners
  • Support the Parts Dept. team in daily operations and solve problems when presented
  • Creating an annual Action Plan for Parts Sales expansion
  • Develop implement and manage Cross-Functional S&OP processes that fully integrate demand, supply and distribution planning processes
  • Price set up for the parts, price level control based on the formula level
  • Improve the work efficiencies for the parts dept. and implement the budget
  • Manage and keep the targeted action plan and maintain the budget
  • Plan and provide training as needed to new hires and current employees
  • Direct Customer Service Teams to excel in all aspects of Service Sales to Distributors
  • Innovate ideas to promote product lines and increase parts sales
  • Work with Suppliers relating to inventory, pricing, and voice any international or customer concerns
  • Travel domestically and international as needed
  • Work with international distributors and OEMโ€™s to increase part business sales
  • Provide functional leadership to support the needs of Customer Service Staff
  • Attend monthly conference calls with MHI suppliers
  • Work with new Inventory Advisor forecasting system starting
Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business Administration
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or automotive industry
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Parts Management system
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint,
  • Knowledge of Sage and or AS-400 IBM System
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to occasionally move and or lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to sit throughout the workday.
