Temporary Parts Specialist


Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Location: Greenfield, MA
Pay rate: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a Temporary Parts Specialist to support our Service Parts Department in Greenfield, MA. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that combines computer-based parts coordination, inventory management, customer service, shipping and receiving, and occasional parts delivery.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers and multiple systems, and able to manage several priorities at once. While this position may assist with running parts between locations and to service technicians as needed, this is not primarily a driving position. The primary focus is supporting the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department.


What You'll Do as a Parts Specialist:

  • Monitor email, customer/vendor portals, and internal systems for parts orders and updates.
  • Order appliance parts and track order and delivery status.
  • Receive incoming parts and maintain an organized and accurate parts inventory.
  • Process parts returns and prepare items for shipping.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts orders, inventory, transfers, deliveries, and returns.
  • Review order acknowledgments and communicate updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with customers, Customer Service, technicians, and management as parts arrive to support timely service scheduling.
  • Answer customer inquiries by phone and email professionally and courteously.
  • Process customer payments as needed.
  • Prepare shipping and invoicing documentation.
  • Communicate customer specifications and parts information to appropriate team members.
  • Deliver or transfer parts between company locations and service technicians as needed.
  • Run urgent parts to technicians or service calls when necessary.
  • Collect unused parts from technicians and return them to the appropriate location.
  • Assist with general warehouse, inventory, and Service Department needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

ย What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of customer service, parts, inventory, administrative, or similar experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with EPass is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and willing to assist wherever needed within the Parts Department.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with appropriate assistance.
