Job description


Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. As a Maintenance (Spare Parts) Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting maintenance operations across MAPEI's North American manufacturing network. This position is responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory, coordinating parts procurement, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring critical materials are available to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance.
Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance department by maintaining spare parts inventory, receiving materials, stocking parts, and issuing inventory as needed to support plant operations.
  • Assist with the purchasing process by generating purchase requisitions, obtaining vendor quotes, creating purchase orders, and tracking deliveries of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, process inventory transactions, perform cycle counts, and help ensure inventory levels are sufficient to support maintenance activities.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in identifying replacement parts, researching product specifications, and locating materials needed for equipment repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, and vendors to support maintenance activities, inventory needs, and parts availability across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Prepare reports, track inventory usage and transfers, and maintain documentation related to spare parts inventory, purchasing activities, and maintenance support functions.
  • Support a safe, organized, and efficient work environment by following established safety procedures and inventory control practices.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and instructions as defined in our Quality Management System (QMS), Employee Handbook, Health and Safety manual, or any other instruction issued by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical training related to maintenance, inventory management, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience supporting maintenance, inventory control, warehouse operations, purchasing, or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience maintaining inventory records, purchase orders, work orders, or related documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook; experience with ERP, MRP, CMMS, or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • High level of personal integrity, supporting MAPEI's Code of Ethics.
