Location: Pittsburgh, PA (251 Bilmar Dr.)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Every 4th Saturday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time, non- exempt
Reports To: Parts/Customer Service Manager


About the Role:

Don’s Appliances is seeking a reliable Parts Warehouse Associate to join our team! The Parts Warehouse Associate will receive, stock, and organize parts, support our service technicians, and occasionally assist customers at the parts counter. If you’re detail-oriented, customer-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, this is a great opportunity to grow with us.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stage committed parts and unload technician stock to properly store parts in warehouse
  • Review outgoing parts for any visible damages to the appliance or box
  • Load technician bins properly and securely and without damage to parts
  • Receive and cost parts and accurately add parts to inventory. Maintain accurate inventory using EPASS
  • Process inventory and maximize warehouse space usage
  • Unpack incoming parts shipments from suppliers and organize parts in the warehouse
  • Uses the electronic scan-gun, reviews out-bound pull sheets for accuracy, and ensures safe packing of the orders for shipment to technicians
  • Cleans up and disposes of boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas
  • Support technicians by pulling and preparing orders
  • Assist at the parts counter
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED


Experience and Skills:

  • 2 + years’ experience working in a parts department or similar environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of situations
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Computer and paperwork processing skills

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of inventory and parts handling.
  • Familiar with inventory invoicing systems that utilize multiple screens
  • Familiarity with appliance parts, cataloging, and appliance sales is desired but not required


Physical Requirements:

This position is very active and requires, large portions of the day standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching all day. Team members must constantly lift/and/or move items that weigh up to 75 pounds. Lifting, overhead reaching, sitting, crawling and climbing ladders are physical requirements of this position as well as having the ability to work in warehouse conditions with temperature fluctuations.

  • Valid Driver’s License required
