Position Summary
The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for selling parts to retail customers, service technicians, and wholesale accounts over the counter, through the shop, and by phone. This position plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, accurately sourcing parts, and supporting dealership operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in selecting the correct parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Utilize dealership systems and online resources to accurately identify and source parts.
  • Inform customers of related parts, accessories, promotions, and special offers.
  • Process customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Promptly answer incoming telephone calls and assist customers with parts inquiries.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure parts orders are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain a high level of service for both internal and external customers.
  • Communicate out-of-stock parts and shop materials to inventory control personnel.
  • Monitor and follow up on back-ordered parts.
  • Proactively solicit and grow customer accounts through phone outreach.
  • Participate in all assigned training and development programs.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns regarding products and services.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent TTG positively at all times.
Qualifications
  • Previous parts sales, automotive, diesel truck, equipment, or related industry experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
