Job description

Watchguard Technologies is seeking a strategic and relationship-focused Partner Manager to drive growth within our partner ecosystem across the MSP and cybersecurity landscape. In this role, you will own the development and management of key partner relationships, working closely with managed service providers, resellers, and strategic alliances to accelerate revenue and expand market reach. You will play a critical role in enabling partner success through onboarding, training, and ongoing support, while collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to execute go-to-market initiatives. The ideal candidate brings experience in partner-led growth, a strong understanding of the channel, and the ability to build trusted relationships that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
Partner Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong executive and operational relationships with assigned partners.
* Serve as the trusted advisor and primary liaison between the company and partner organizations
*Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions
* Drive partner satisfaction and long-term engagement
Revenue Growth & Pipeline Development
* Achieve assigned revenue, pipeline, and partner performance targets
* Develop and execute joint business plans with partners
*Identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell
*Drive partner participation in sales campaigns and strategic initiatives
Partner Enablement
* Educate partners on products, services, competitive positioning, and sales strategies
*Coordinate training and certification programs
*Ensure partners have the tools, resources, and knowledge necessary for success
* Promote adoption of company programs, incentives, and marketing initiatives
Business Planning & Forecasting
* Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline reporting
*Track partner performance against established KPI's
*Analyze sales trends and recommend growth strategies
*Provide regular updates to leadership regarding partner health and business opportunities
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
*Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
*1+ years of experience in channel sales, partner management, account management, or business development within the technology industry
*Experience managing partner relationships and developing joint business plans
*Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
*Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce
*Motivated, coachable, and competitive with a resilient drive to succeed
*Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred:
*Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value-Added Resellers (VARs), System Integrators, or technology distributors
*Knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, cloud, SaaS, or enterprise technology solutions
*Experience working in a global or multi-regional organization
*Channel certification or formal partner management training
