Job description

A Patient Care Specialist 1 (PCS1-Benefits Counselor) contributes to AHF by embodying our commitment to excellence in patient care and operational efficiency. Through cross-functionality, PCS1s play a pivotal role in ensuring that our healthcare center operates seamlessly and that our patients receive the best client experience and the highest standard of care. With the understanding of the Ryan White Program, the BC will work directly with the Healthcare Center team to enroll newly diagnosed patients, patients lost to care, and clients currently in care by completing an eligibility screening assessment. In this way, you will support the client's ability to maintain better/improve their health status so they can work to achieve their healthcare goals, including viral load suppression and appointment adherence.
A PCS1 enhances the reputation of AHF by embodying our commitment to excellence in patient care, patient retention, operational efficiency, and adaptability. With a versatile skill set and a dedication to seamlessly transitioning between administrative and front office roles, PCS1s contribute to a positive patient experience, fostering trust and loyalty. you will make all necessary efforts to ensure clients are appropriately screened for Ryan White Eligibility under all other pertinent third-party benefits programs. Attention to detail when pulling up patient charts and medical records will ensure a smooth flow of patients and allow our physicians to provide treatment efficiently.

By actively participating in cross-functional rotations, and promoting adaptability, they will be developed across multiple healthcare center functions, and their commitment to collaborating with other AHF employees and departments will reinforce AHF's reputation as a trusted healthcare provider dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care and upholding our organization's mission and values.
