Wahl Empowers People To Be Their Best!
Leading Growth. Building Partnerships. Shaping the Future of Professional Sales.
At Wahl Clipper, growth is driven by strong relationships, strategic thinking, and a relentless focus on delivering value to customers. As a Senior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role within our U.S. Professional Sales organization, helping define commercial strategy, accelerate market growth, and strengthen partnerships with some of the industry's most influential customers. This role is designed for a proven commercial leader who can balance strategic vision with disciplined execution. You'll lead key business initiatives, guide sales strategy, develop future talent, and influence decisions across the organization, all while helping shape the next chapter of growth for a brand trusted around the world.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Sales Manager, your day to day will include:
  • Lead sales strategy and commercial execution for a significant area of the US Professional business. Establish clear sales priorities, performance expectations, and growth objectives that support annual and long-term business goals. Provide leadership across customers, channels, and product categories to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, profitability improvement, and disciplined execution.
  • Develop and lead strategic sales growth plans that align with company objectives, customer needs, market dynamics, and profitability expectations. Translate business strategy into actionable account, channel, and category plans, including revenue targets, growth levers, resource needs, risks, and execution milestones. Lead annual and long-range sales planning activities, evaluate business performance, and adjust strategies to accelerate growth and strengthen competitive position.
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with strategic customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders. Serve as the primary business leader for the Arcadia account, including Sally Beauty and Beauty Systems Group (BSG), leading customer strategy, business planning, pricing initiatives, promotional programs, and growth opportunities. Lead complex customer negotiations, develop joint business plans, and ensure customer strategies support profitable growth, long-term partnership success, and Wahl's broader commercial objectives.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive trends, emerging customer needs, white space opportunities, and new business models that support sustainable growth. Partner with internal teams to develop differentiated programs and customer solutions that strengthen Wahl's market position, expand share, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Lead regular business reviews with customers and internal stakeholders to evaluate sales performance, profitability, customer health, market conditions, risks, and growth opportunities. Establish clear action plans, ownership, and follow-up mechanisms to ensure accountability and sustained progress against strategic objectives.
  • Lead forecasting activities and establish strong planning discipline across sales, customer, and operational priorities. Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to improve forecast accuracy, support inventory planning, and anticipate demand, risk, and capacity needs. Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure alignment between customer demand, commercial priorities, and operational execution.
  • Monitor sales, margins, market share, trade investments, promotional effectiveness, and customer performance. Evaluate pricing initiatives, customer programs, and commercial investments to ensure resources are aligned to the highest-value growth opportunities and deliver profitable returns.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance guidance to members of the sales organization while strengthening leadership capability, succession readiness, and overall team effectiveness. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement. Support the development of future sales leaders by setting clear expectations, providing meaningful feedback, and helping team members build commercial, analytical, and leadership capability.
  • Partner closely with US Channel Management, Global Product Management, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Global Sales teams to align priorities, influence decisions, and deliver business results. Lead cross-functional collaboration on customer strategies, product portfolio decisions, merchandising initiatives, promotional programs, new product launches, and growth opportunities to ensure alignment between customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Establish and continuously improve business processes, operating rhythms, performance management practices, and decision-making routines that enhance execution, accountability, scalability, and organizational effectiveness. Use data, customer insights, and business performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities and drive disciplined follow-through.
  • Represent Wahl at trade shows, customer meetings, industry events, distributor conferences, and strategic planning sessions. Act as a senior brand ambassador, strengthen Wahl's position within the Professional grooming industry, and bring external market insights back into the organization to inform sales strategy, customer planning, and growth initiatives.
  • Be open to supporting new customers, business opportunities, strategic projects, and organizational initiatives as needed to support company growth objectives.
  • Travel will be required for customer meetings, trade shows, distributor events, industry conferences, and visits to Wahl facilities.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive sales experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility for sales strategy, business planning, team development, and performance results within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Professional Products, Retail, Distribution, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability improvement, market share expansion, and sustained commercial performance.
  • Experience managing national accounts, distributor relationships, and strategic customer partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, pricing strategy, category management, business planning, and account profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead annual and long-range sales planning, develop strategic growth plans, establish clear priorities, and translate strategy into measurable execution plans.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional business initiatives, and drive alignment across teams without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Experience developing talent, coaching sales professionals or people leaders, strengthening succession readiness, and building team capability in support of organizational growth.
  • Experience using financial, customer, market, and operational data to evaluate business performance, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience within Professional Beauty, Barbering, Grooming, Animal Care, or related industries is considered an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent negotiation, executive-level customer engagement, and strategic relationship management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, build alignment across functional teams and organizational levels, and move complex business priorities forward.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on profitable growth, customer success, commercial discipline, and long-term business impact.
  • Ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
