If so, this role could be a great fit.

About the Role

The Student Success Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting students from onboarding through graduation, with a primary focus on retention, certification completion, and academic persistence.

This is not a passive student services role. You will "walk alongside" students-building trust while also pushing, motivating, and holding them accountable to complete certifications and stay on track. Success in this role is defined by your ability to engage students consistently, remove barriers, and drive measurable outcomes.

You'll manage a caseload of students and work cross-functionally with academics, admissions, and student support teams in a metrics-driven, performance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Performance & Accountability

  • Actively manage a student caseload and meet defined performance metrics, including:

    • Retention and persistence

    • Certification readiness and attainment

    • Graduation progression

  • Contribute to a performance-driven culture focused on measurable student outcomes

Student Engagement & Advocacy

  • Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for assigned students

  • Build strong relationships that foster trust, accountability, and follow-through

  • Proactively identify and address barriers to persistence and certification completion

  • Support students with attendance, academic standing, and program navigation

Retention & Certification Support

  • Drive certification outcomes through early intervention, consistent follow-up, and milestone tracking

  • Partner closely with Academic leadership and instructors to monitor student progress

  • Support students with resource referrals, accommodations, and escalation pathways as needed

Data, Documentation & Compliance

  • Accurately document all student interactions, engagement activities, and outcomes in CampusNexus and other systems

  • Participate in cohort tracking, G&E chart confirmation, and required audits

  • Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting tied to student success metrics

Events, Programming & Collaboration

  • Support and/or facilitate workshops, certification readiness initiatives, alumni events, and career fairs

  • Collaborate with Academic, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Employer Engagement teams to ensure coordinated student support

  • Participate in commencement and key student milestone events

What We're Looking For

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

  • 1-2+ years of experience in student services, advising, admissions, recruiting, workforce development, or a related role

  • Experience in a proprietary (for-profit), post-secondary education environment strongly preferred

  • Background in admissions or sales is highly beneficial

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong ability to motivate, influence, and hold students accountable

  • Excellent communication skills with a student-centered approach

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven, performance-focused environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

  • CampusNexus experience preferred

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You are a natural motivator-you know how to push people in a supportive, effective way

  • You balance empathy with accountability and follow-through

  • You are persistent and don't give up on students easily

  • You thrive in structured environments with clear goals and expectations

  • You are comfortable having tough conversations when needed

  • You bring a positive, team-oriented mindset and take ownership of outcomes
