Job description

Headquartered in San Diego, Mulligan Funding serves as a leading provider of working capital (Up to $10M) to the small and medium-sized businesses that fuel our country. Since 2008, we have prided ourselves on our collaborative, innovative, and customer-focused approach. Enjoying a period of unprecedented growth, driven by the combination of cutting-edge technology, human touch, and unwavering integrity, we are looking to add to our people first culture, with highly motivated and results-oriented professionals, to push the limits of what’s possible while creating value for all of our partners.

As a Partner Relationship Executive, you will occupy a high-visibility "player-coach" role that directly drives our national market growth. In this position, you will own and scale a lucrative portfolio of high-value ISO partner accounts while actively mentoring and developing junior sales representatives. Serving as the strategic bridge between internal underwriting and external partners, you will analyze complex financials, pitch custom funding packages, and position Mulligan Funding as the most effective financing source for thousands of small businesses nationwide.

This role is designed for an ambitious commercial finance professional seeking unequaled career trajectory and high-earning potential. We offer the agility and high-energy culture of a fintech innovator combined with the stability of a 15+ year industry leader. Backed by an aggressive, uncapped commission structure with realistic target earnings, and a people-first work environment, Mulligan Funding provides the exact platform you need to push your career to the next level.

What You'll Do
Drive Revenue & Own Your Book
  • Own, manage, and scale a dedicated portfolio of high-value ISO partner accounts nationwide.

  • Actively engage partners daily via phone, email, and virtual channels to generate applications, push pipeline momentum, and close high-volume deals.

Build Deep Partner Loyalty

  • Educate and train partner teams on Mulligan Funding’s product offerings to maximize submission volume, approval rates, and deal closing speed.

  • Resolve complex partner or client friction points, continuously reinforcing Mulligan’s value proposition over competitors.

  • Collaborate directly with internal Underwriting teams to streamline approvals and align solutions with client needs.

What You Bring
  • Industry Experience: 2+ years of proven success in Merchant Cash Advance (MCA), commercial finance, or alternative business lending in a direct sales/BD capacity.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong capability to read and diagnose commercial financial health (bank statements, credit reports, cash flow).

  • Closing Mastery: Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of selling value and closing deals in a fast-paced environment.

  • Pipeline Management: Exceptional ability to multi-task and juggle multiple active deals across various stages without dropping the ball.

  • Leadership DNA: Passionate about coaching others, sharing strategies, and elevating team performance.

  • Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Salesforce (or similar CRMs) is preferred.

What We Offer
  • Medical, vision, and dental benefits to support you and your family.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for eligible healthcare and dependent care expenses.
  • A 401(k) with matching contributions to help you plan for retirement.
  • Paid time off, including sick leave, vacation, and holidays.
  • Paid parental leave for growing families.
  • A Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) for athletic and wellness expenses.
  • An employer-sponsored Life and AD&D policy, with options for additional coverage.
  • A Learning Stipend for professional development activities.
  • An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and travel assistance services.
  • Complimentary snacks and refreshments in the breakroom.
  • A referral program that rewards you for bringing in top talent.
  • Company events to connect, celebrate, and grow together.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $80,000 – $90,000 per year, with an expected $100,000+ in uncapped performance-based commission, bringing total On-Target Earnings (OTE) to $180,000 – $190,000+ per year. In determining final compensation within the base range, Mulligan Funding considers a variety of factors, including market data, relevant experience, skills, and past performance.
Travel up to 25% required.
