JOB TITLE: Part Room Associate SHIFT: 2nd or 3rd shifts available, 5 or 6 days

REPORTS TO: Parts Room Supervisor EXEMPT: No

SUMMARY: Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining parts inventory across multiple parts room locations. This role supports maintenance and operations by assisting personnel in locating correct parts, issuing parts to cost centers or work orders, maintaining accurate inventory, and keeping parts rooms organized, clean, and functional. The position requires collaboration with all staff and may involve preparing materials for rebuilds, returns, or shipments.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Receive and put up parts in multiple locations within the rooms and within multiple rooms.
  • Assist personnel in finding the correct part
  • Issuing parts to cost centers or to work orders.
  • Arrange, organize, sort and clean the parts rooms as needed
  • Bundle, tie, strap, palletize items for rebuilds, returns, etc. as needed.
  • Taking inventory.
  • Work successfully with all staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Familiarity with computer-based inventory and parts systems
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures
  • Work in or familiarity with parts operations, retail, industrial, etc.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English

Education and/or experience:

High school or equivalent. Right candidate will be trained.

Physical Demands:

  • This job involves significant movement.
  • Candidates can expect to be on their feet the entire shift.
  • Constantly lift/move/pull 15lbs
  • Must be able to lift, move, and pull 50lbs
  • Ability to use, as trained and required, all PPE necessary to the job.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a combination of corporate and manufacturing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperature, risk of electrical shock, and vibrations.
