Salary:

OVERVIEW:

Fueling Brains Academy is an early learning preschool and childcare center with 8 locations across Calgary. We are currently looking for On-Call cleaners for our campuses that will be working closely with our campus administrators, cleaning coordinator as well as the Senior Manager, Compliance and Administration. You are an integral part of our team to ensure our campuses are meeting the requirements of Alberta Health Services.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean classrooms, lobbies, staffrooms, washrooms and kitchens
  • Cleaning and disinfecting all hard surface areas including walls, washrooms, kitchen areas, desk, and doors
  • Mopping floors daily and polishing floors when required
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas daily
  • Emptying garbage's and composts daily
  • Cleaning windows and scrubbing windowsills
  • Complete checklists and inspections reports
  • Provide maintenance to cleaning equipment when required
  • Order cleaning supplies and equipment when required
  • Replacing sanitary supplies where required
  • Responding to requests from campuses administrators
  • Understand and follow MSDS sheets
  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
  • Inform Cleaning Coordinator of anything in the campus that is broken and in need of repair
  • Complete other tasks as assigned


EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma
  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector
  • 1-year professional cleaning experience
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends


WORK ENVIORNMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift over 40 LBS
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending and reaching
  • Able to stand for long periods of time on hard floors
