Medical Packer

MUST BE AVAILIBLE FROM 10 AM until 4:00 PM Monday- Thursday.

The Medical Packer will support the inventory fulfillment team to package a variety of medical supplies for shipment to patients across the country. Duties will include weighing, packing, adhering labels to products, and providing packages for shopping. Due to the nature of the product being packaged, diligence on proper packing policy must be adhered to.

The duties and responsibilities of the Medical Packer include, but are not limited to:

  • Counts, measures, and weighs materials and products.
  • Constructs, lines, and pads cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
  • Examines containers, products, and materials for quality control and ensures packing requirements are met.
  • Seals containers or materials using hand tools, fasteners, or glue.
  • Marks and labels containers, container tags, labels, or products.
  • Enters packing, order, and product information in or on required forms, records, or other documents.
  • Stacks boxes in the shipping area for pick-up
  • Loads products and materials into package-processing equipment.
  • Transports packages to loading areas, or other specified zones.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year of general work experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to follow directions, assess products for quality, and have a general understanding of shipping practices.
  • Strong time management skills required.
  • Trustworthiness and discretion are required due to the nature of the product.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to spend most of the day standing or walking; bending and lifting as required to handle inventory and supplies. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
