Job description

Beloved Ones Short Term Residential Treatment Program (STRTP) is seeking a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse to join our team. We have a flexible part-time position available for one-on-one patient care, allowing scheduling around family and other obligations.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse dedicated to providing top-quality care to our young residents aged 7-17. They will provide:

  • Compassionate care.

  • Focus on education and guidance.

  • Nurturing to help ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.

Duties:

  • Conducting individualized resident assessments, prioritizing the data collection based on the residentโ€™s immediate condition or needs within the timeframe specified by residents facilityโ€™s policies, procedures, or protocols.

  • Treatment recommendation.

  • Staff education.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure that HIPAA regulations are followed.

  • Provide non-judgmental, non-discriminatory care that preserves their autonomy, dignity, and rights.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Current licensure must be in good standing in the state of practice and all other states where the License is held. License must be unrestricted.

  • Evidence of 1 year of nursing experience in a specialty within the past two years.

  • Comfortable working with male and female youths ages 7-17 who are wards of the court and display assaultive and suicidal behaviors.

  • Evidence of BLS, AED, First Aid, and CPR Certification.

  • Must pass DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearance for California and all states occupied within the last five years.

Experience:

  • Experience working with adolescents from the age of 7-17 years old. (Preferred)

  • Familiar with childhood ailments including but not limited to childhood diabetes and obesity. (Preferred)

Schedule: 25 to 40 hours a month. Variable and Flexible.
