Job Summary

Our Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of Rook Coffee’s production facility. This part-time, on-site role plays a direct part in keeping our operation safe, compliant, and running smoothly. A clean and well-maintained facility reflects our commitment to quality at every level of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The Custodian’s responsibilities and job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, including production, storage, and common areas.

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office spaces on a regular schedule.

  • Empty trash and recycling bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with facility procedures.

  • Wipe down surfaces, equipment exteriors, and fixtures.

  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and other consumables as needed.

  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate team member promptly.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards applicable to a production environment.

  • Support scheduled deep cleaning tasks and assist with special cleaning projects as needed.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.

  • Creating and maintaining a welcoming and safe work environment for customers and team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a clean, safe workplace.

  • Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.

  • The ability and willingness to work varying shifts, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • The ability to lift and/or move a minimum of 40 lbs.

  • The ability to remain organized and efficient in an active production environment.

  • The ability to stand for an extended period.

  • The ability to function as part of a cohesive team.

  • Reliable, punctual, and thorough with strong attention to detail.
