Since 1960, D’Youville Life & Wellness Community has provided Greater Lowell and surrounding communities with Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care earning the respect of its peers and the trust of the community at large. We are a 208-bed facility with 84-bed Special Care Dementia Unit.

We are seeking to hire a Registered Dietitian - Part-Time.

  • $33 to $43 per hour based on skills and experience.
  • Part-Time; 24 hours per week.

Registered Dietitian Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) registration through the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years Clinical Nutrition experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in medical nutrition therapy.
  • Strong knowledge of State and Federal regulatory guidelines, MDS and standards impacting Clinical Nutrition department in Long-Term Care.
  • Excellent client services, organization and communication skills are essential.

Registered Dietitian Job Summary:

  • Plan, organize, develop, and direct the nutritional care of residents in accordance with policy and regulations.
  • Assess/Monitor the residents’ nutritional status and provides recommendations to clinical/medical staff.
  • Educate residents, families and staff on nutritional concepts and diet modification.
  • Work with other members of the team to ensure that modified texture or therapeutic diets are in compliance with the resident’s medical condition.
  • Orient newly hired staff; developing policies and procedures; complete employee performance evaluations; in-service education, etc.
  • Practice management by rounding.
  • Participate in care conferences and the communication of nutritional updates to residents and representatives as needed.
  • Complete resident nutritional assessments.
