What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, reviewing visitor and driver credentials, issuing access badges and/or passes, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery traffic at assigned entry points, directing authorized persons to appropriate loading, receiving, shipping, and/or parking areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying designated site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
