Job description

PART - TIME JANITOR 




Summary 

Maintain buildings in a clean and orderly condition by performing heavy cleaning duties, routine maintenance, and ensuring safety. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, and clearing snow or debris from sidewalks. 


Primary Responsibilities 

  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Follow safe procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents or acids
  • Notify managers of major repair needs and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge and Skill Requirements 

  • No previous work-related experience required
  • Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively
  • Basic coordination and time management skills
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and climbing
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment maintenance
