Job description

Put the FUN back into work and join our Custodial/ Park Services Team! Custodians are vital to the Zoo's daily operations by ensuring facilities remain clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. This role focuses on custodial responsibilities throughout the Zoo, helping create a safe, comfortable, and family-friendly environment for every guest who walks through our gates. Our part-time variable hourly (20-29 hours) Custodian/ Park Services Team Members are always on the go!

Ideal candidates are committed to advancing the Zoo's mission to protect nature and inspire people to care for our world. By providing above and beyond customer service and ensuring a family-friendly, clean environment, our Park Services department is integral to our operations. A cooperative and team-oriented personality, along with a friendly and courteous attitude is highly desirable. Though this is an entry level position, any experience working in customer service or housekeeping is a plus! Pay rate for this exciting position is $13.00/ hr.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures all Zoo sanitation, chemical handling, and safety standards are followed.
  • Cleans and stocks all Zoo restrooms.
  • Maintains cleanliness of all buildings by cleaning windows, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, etc.
  • Assists with general storage areas, ensuring that they are properly stocked and inventoried.
  • Must enjoy working as a team but be able to work independently as well.
