From the IT professional who develops an app that sends the gospel message worldwide, to the facilities manager who maintains our buildings- giving Church members places to worship, teach, learn, and receive sacred ordinances-our employees seek innovative ways to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. They are literally working in His kingdom.
Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment. Apart from this, the Church is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in its employment decisions on any basis that would violate U.S. or local law.
Qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, national origin, color, gender, pregnancy, marital status, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or other legally protected categories that apply to the Church. The Church will make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with known disabilities.

To be eligible for this internship, you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university or have finished a degree within a year of starting the internship.

  • Sound understanding of Church doctrine and a love of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • At least one year of college-level writing experience.
  • Sound understanding and ability to speak and write in English. A second language is a plus.
  • The ability to think creatively.
  • The ability to manage many projects and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Careful attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professionalism and the ability to work well with a variety of people.

To apply, please submit:

    1. A resume that includes a link to your digital portfolio
  2. Digital portfolios should feature samples that exhibit excellence in writing, editing, and any social media experience you have
  3. In addition, find two For The Strength of Youth Articles and cut each story to be used on social media. Keep in mind that every good caption starts with a hook and is relatively short! Please review the @strivetobe Instagram to get a feel for the style and tone. Save your two captions as a PDF and upload along with your cover letter and portfolio.

This youth social media writing internship involves writing captions and descriptions for the For the Strength of Youth Instagram, Facebook, and the Strive to Be YouTube channels. Day to day assignments might include interviewing youth around the world, responding to YouTube comments, helping with SEO, writing captions for Instagram, and turning long form content into short form captions. Candidates should be eager to join a creative and fast-paced work environment with plenty of opportunities to write and publish. A background or interest in social media marketing, content creation, writing, or editing is recommended.
