Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Part-Time Perio Treatment Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the success of our periodontal department. This individual serves as both an advocate and educator for patients, helping them understand their treatment needs while confidently guiding them through scheduling and financial options. This role is instrumental in driving treatment acceptance, ensuring a full schedule, and delivering an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.

This position is part-time, working Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the potential to convert to full-time in the future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Present periodontal treatment plans clearly and confidently, addressing patient questions and securing case acceptance
  • Discuss financial options with patients, including payment plans such as Sunbit, to support treatment completion
  • Proactively fill and maintain the Perio schedule to optimize provider productivity
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all periodontal needs within the office
  • Build trust with patients by understanding their concerns, goals, and treatment priorities
  • Coordinate scheduling and follow-up to ensure continuity of care
  • Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits, estimates, and financial responsibilities
  • Support billing, posting payments, and insurance follow-up as needed
  • Assist with check-in/check-out, answering phones, and general front office responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • This position is essential to the growth and success of our periodontal services. The right candidate will play a key role in helping patients move forward with needed care while supporting the overall performance of the practice.
