Job description

We're seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Oncology and Hematology team at Memorial Health! This position is part-time (working 56 hours per biweekly pay) and 1st shift. Please note: This position is benefits eligible.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Uses the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver patient care.
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Maintains accurate data collection for direct and indirect patient care.
  • Documentation is reflective of care provided, on appropriate hospital forms, and within the established timeframes.
  • Teaches patient/significant other appropriate health information in a timely manner and provides written informational material as evidenced by documentation.
  • Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through identification and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Accepts accountability for professional practice and development.
  • Knowledgeable of current nursing practice standards and hospital policies/procedures.
  • Consistently projects positive professional image through appearance and behavior.
  • Responds to emergencies outside normal working hours.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing with current licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Licensed as an RN in the State of Ohio;
  • Completes twenty-four (24) contact hours of approved CE during each two (2) year licensure renewal period consistent with requirements of Ohio Board of Nursing;
  • Maintains continuous certification in American Heart Association BLS;
  • Attains American Heart Association ACLS certification within six (6) months of employment and maintains bi-annual certification. If serving as a chemo nurse, must obtain chemotherapy and biotherapy provider within 6 months of hire.
