Job description

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Part Time RFP Writer opportunity with a Insurance Company .
The Part Time RFP Writer manages proposal responses for public-sector and non-ERISA retirement plans (403(b), 457(b), FICA Alternative), focusing on annuity and fixed-account solutions. This role requires proposal management experience within the financial, retirement, or investment sectors.
Your specific duties will include:

  • Draft, edit, format, and assemble comprehensive responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs (including 403(b), 457(b), and FICA Alternative/3121 opportunities).
  • Review complex procurement instructions, identify deadlines, outline response requirements, and assist with go/no-go evaluations.
  • Develop compliance matrices, proposal drafts, required forms, questionnaires, and all supporting submission documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Investments, and Marketing) to gather inputs while managing strict project timelines.
  • Maintain, refresh, and optimize RFP databases (e.g., Loopio) with compliance-approved language, product positioning, and standard company descriptions.
  • Manage Salesforce/CRM updates, track win/loss statistics, and provide periodic reporting on RFP volume, seasonal trends, and proposal outcomes.
  • Support internal platform provider RFPs, scoring templates, and comparison matrices as needed.


Required qualifications for the position include :

  • Prior experience in writing and coordinating RFPs in retirement, investment management, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of public-sector retirement markets and related products (annuities, stable value, fixed accounts).
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex procurement rules and work independently in a remote/hybrid setup.
  • Experience using RFP database platforms (Loopio, Responsive, Qvidian, etc.).


Preferred qualifications for the position include:

  • Knowledge of public-sector procurement processes, school district RFPs, and non-ERISA plan sponsor evaluation criteria.
  • Experience preparing executive summaries, pricing exhibits, implementation plans, and finalist presentation materials.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Ability to analyze RFP data to prepare concise strategic reporting for business leadership.


Pay Rate Range: $30.00 - $40.00 per Hour.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
