We are looking for an Internal Communications Intern to join our team and support messaging for Product teams and across WP Engine. This is a part-time internship of approximately 20-30 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work during the first half of the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with additional availability on Wednesdays. Wednesday hours, as well as the remainder of the weekly schedule, can be flexible to accommodate a student's school schedule.

As an Internal Communications Intern, you should have a passion for writing, storytelling, and learning how companies work from the inside. You'll help gather information from teams across WP Engine and turn it into clear, engaging content that keeps our employees informed and connected.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in communications, journalism, writing, or storytelling who is curious, eager to learn, and willing to jump between different topics. You'll support both our Product and Engineering teams, as well as broader corporate communications initiatives, gaining exposure to different areas of the business along the way.

The Day to Day
  • Support the coordination and execution of company town halls and other internal meetings

  • Gather information, materials, and content from speakers and stakeholders across the organization

  • Help create and format presentations for internal meetings and events

  • Support meeting technology and help ensure internal events run smoothly

  • Write, edit, and help produce internal newsletters and other employee communications

  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to gather information and turn it into clear, engaging content

  • Help develop stories and content highlighting what's happening across WP Engine

  • Support the development of internal web content and pages

  • Assist with additional internal communications projects and initiatives as needed

Your Expertise and Passion
  • Strong writing, editing, and grammar skills

  • A passion for storytelling and an interest in journalism, communications, or internal communications

  • Ability to quickly learn about new topics

  • Creative thinking and knack for turning complex information into easy-to-understand content
