Blue Dove Home Health Services is seeking qualified Registered Nurses, part-time, PRN, or Contract

Our service areas are Manassas Park, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County. Our Nurses work in their chosen geographic area within our service areas.

We are hiring for Admission nurses, full-time, part-time, and Per Diem positions, and field nurses. We are very flexible and able to work with all our nurses to make their lives easy.

Job Duties

  • Performs admission assessments and participates in the development and maintenance of treatment/care plans.

  • Completes field visits based on the plan of care

  • Infusions and wound care; TPN

  • Very knowledgeable with post-surgical care ( cardiac, orthopedic care, ETC

  • Develops, implements, updates, and communicates patient plans of care every 60 days.

  • Completes nursing assessments and certifies in writing for a physician that the patient meets criteria for home care every 60 days.

  • Performs re-certification/discharge assessments when appropriate.

  • Involves patients and family members in developing and implementing the plan of care whenever possible.

  • Provides nursing services to meet patient needs and changing conditions, including treatments, diagnostic, preventative, and rehabilitative procedures.

  • Monitors clinical interventions for compliance with the defined plan of care.

  • Reports reactions to treatments and drugs and changes in the patient's physical and emotional condition to the physician.

  • Implements appropriate infection control and safety measures and reports all hazards and accidents in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Conducts supervisory visits on Agency home health Aides to evaluate their performance in skilled patient care.

  • Participates in on-call rotation as assigned and as needed based on job category

  • Demonstrates accurate and efficient utilization of equipment and supplies.

  • Provides information about reimbursement of needed equipment and supplies to patients and families.

  • Participates in regular educational programs and Agency in-services.

  • Participates in the Performance Improvement programs.

  • Fulfills additional performance responsibilities as assigned and necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a dependable, kind, responsible, detail-oriented, and compassionate individual.

  • Must maintain a professional and clean appearance

  • Must be willing to learn, grow, and have a professional work ethic.

  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner, and must be a willing, peaceful, contributing team member.

  • Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation/weekend rotation

  • Must be a person who treats others with empathy and compassion

  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Language skills:

Ability to read and write English. Basic computer skills preferred.

Licenses:

  • RN License – current and in good standing.

  • Currently licensed to practice in the state of Agency operation with no restrictions and in good standing.

  • Must demonstrate competence to render care independently and in accordance with standards of nursing practice.

  • Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation.
