Occasional Part Time
Day shift
One weekend shift per month

The Acute Care Physical Therapist provides physical therapy evaluation and treatment to patients with musculoskeletal and/or neurological impairments. The Physical Therapist is also responsible for the monitoring and documentation of patient status, treatment, and response.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs physical therapy evaluations and develops a plan of care that is appropriate for the diagnosis and age of patient.
  • Performs physical therapy patient treatment as per the plan of care and modifies treatment plan based on ongoing assessment of patient condition.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the operation and indications for commonly used modalities and equipment.
  • Documents evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, and discharge notes in a timely manner; therapy charges are supported by this documentation.
  • Communicates and documents necessary information appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

Requirements:
  • BLS Certification
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License
  • Current WI Physical Therapy License
