Overview

This Warehouse Driverย position executes, achieves, and maintains the core functions of OVG's Chicago distribution and warehouse as a driver and achieves and maintains quality and efficiency standards in the warehouse, receiving, and distribution.

This role pays an hourly range from $28.69 - $30.69 (per CBA).

Responsibilities
  • Deliver orders to restaurants and banquet pantries
  • Pick up and deliver equipment for stewarding department
  • Pick up and deliver linen for banquet department
  • Ensure deliveries ordered are delivered on time and accurately
  • Uses proper and safe methods when operating all warehouse equipment, i.e., pallet jacks
  • Accurately fill requisitions in a timely manner
  • Notify manager of "out of stocks"
  • Follow directions from Managers/Warehouse Lead
  • Assist warehouse in storing and rotating product
  • Assist with sanitation and safety of warehouse
  • Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times
  • Notify manager of truck problems. Report any damage to the truck or product.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have sufficient math ability to accurately add, subtract, divide, multiply, and perform other basic business math calculations.
  • Understand written and oral direction and communicate effectively with others.
  • Two (2) years of warehouse experience with previous electric pallet jack experience.
  • At least two (2) years' experience driving commercially a 24-foot box truck
  • Must possess good organizational skills
  • Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work
  • Ability to work closely with others
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; sense of urgency
  • Must have a pleasant personality and adhere to Uniform Standards policy
  • Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends
  • Must have an ability to effectively drive in all types of weather conditions, i.e. sleet, snow, etc.
  • Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
  • This position does require basic computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).ย 
  • Must hold a Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • Pallet Jack Certification
